Mobile Ads vs Desktop Ads: Which Platform Performs the Best?
Mobile Ads:
1) Ads on mobile devices tend to have more engagement and higher CTR compared to desktop advertisements. This is because of the fact that most ads on mobile devices take up the entire screen. With nothing else to look at, the user is forced to sit through the ad.
3) Mobile devices also gain an advantage with Music Apps like Pandora, Spotify, and SoundCloud. These applications offer free listening to all of your favorite music, but there's a catch. After about 5 songs, an ad that cannot be skipped will play. These ads force you to listen to a radio ad.
Desktop Ads:
1) Banner ads on desktops can be much bigger and more enticing than mobile banner ads. This is because of the visual quality advantage the desktop has, as well as the larger screen.
2) E-commerce ads are superior on desktops because it is much easier to navigate through online stores.
