Will AI eventually takeover the world? Well, not exactly. As of right now technology is making great strides in order to make human life easier and more luxurious. For example, Google and Amazon have both created a home "assistant" that can actually have real conversations with you. Production of self-driving cars is on the rise as well. These technological advances are impressive, but they could  be detrimental to the working class in America.

1) Home Assistants

Google Home, Alexa, and Amazon Echo are all speakers with artificial intelligence capabilities. These pods of information are always learning and adapting to the owner's lifestyle. For example, these assistants can look up information, create shopping lists for you, play your favorite music, and even fill that lurking sense of loneliness and despair you've been feeling. Well, maybe not the last part, but these assistants are impactful indeed. In fact, these AI machines could eventually grow to take the jobs of human assistants found in large companies and enterprises. 

2) Self-Driving Cars

Autonomous vehicles have been in development for several years now, but so far, there hasn't been a debut of a successful one yet. Google, Tesla, Uber, and some taxi services are all working to develop a self-driving car. When these vehicles eventually hit the streets, drivers from around the world could be in danger of losing their jobs.
