Content Marketing
Week #2 - Learning to Blog
Hello Everyone,Throughout my late high-school career as a large Twitter account owner and content creator, I learned that content is key. People must be attracted to the content you post in order to grow and create a certain market or audience. For example. I created a Twitter account called @BestofDexter (a popular tv show on the Showtime network) and focused on the fans of that show. The content I posted includes various funny screen grabs from the show, memes, and quotes. When my following reached about 50,000 people, I started posting ads on the account. These ads are very similar to the content I posted on the account, and they grabbed the attention of my audience.

I didn't start making money until I reached a certain number of followers and follower engagement. It is hard work to create content that many people will enjoy, and since this show was trending during my time in high-school, I decided to take advantage of it. I had to watch the episodes very carefully as well as understand my audience and what they expected of the publisher (me). I feel like this was good practice considering there are real jobs available for content marketing. I also think there is much more I need to understand about digital marketing.
Have a good day,
Nolan Mays
